About Will
Will is an expert in helping businesses and leadership achieve organisational excellence and high performance, with an unrelenting enthusiasm for helping motivated people and teams achieve their potential.
He spent the first 10 years of his career in the Royal Marines and completed three combat deployments to Afghanistan. In this time, he built a reputation for taking and working out how to build high-performance operating systems and approaches around new teams, capabilities and technologies. This is included developing the tactics and procedures for the Royal Marines first ever armoured vehicle capability; redefining and redeveloping the training approach for combat air controllers, integrating experiential, simulator and augmented reality technology; and defining how deployed operations teams could adopt a service mindset to more impactfully support front line troops. These achievements saw Will receive multiple awards including the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service.
Since leaving the Marines, Will continued his passion for developing high-performance operating systems and has focused on helping leaders take a customer value centric approach to developing strategies, cultures, leadership capabilities and operating models that unlock business success. His favourite projects in that time have been working with smaller companies, which have included founder led and / or venture capital and private equity backed start-ups and scale-ups across the energy, financial services, retail, technology, manufacturing and healthcare industries. It was this joint passion and intrinsic enjoyment for helping companies in the start-up and scale-up phase, that led him to launch ClarusBlue with Rob.
The main topics that he is enjoying getting stuck into right now are; how to help companies develop targeted and compelling value propositions in an ever-increasingly competitive markets; and helping leaders really understand how to integrate AI into their businesses in a way that achieves measurable impact.
